Just a few miles
I used to take a lot of pictures, everywhere, and this is what that looked like
Nowadays I have to be more selective about where, when and how I take pictures but it still works. I am also more economical in how I do it. Long gone are the days of carrying around two cameras, four lenses, filters, tripods and other gadgets. These days I make do with a single camera and lens; a camera that most likely is showing its age, because I’ve also not added to the camera collection in about 4 years. I’m hoping I can make an addition soon, but it will not be at the pace I used to do it.
And you know what? I’m probably a better photographer this way. Yes, sometimes I see a shot that would be better served with a wider angle lens or that could use a specialized filter, but for the most part having a single (fixed) lens works, and it makes you get more creative about how you take those photos.
Over the last couple of months, we’ve been places… Just a few miles have been captured here in a few images that go from Ft. Lauderdale to New York, to Atlanta, to Paris, to Milan, to Venice. Haven’t finished going through all the photos, but so far I selected these few. More to come in the next few days.
All these were taken with the Leica M9 + Leica Summicron 50mm, or with the Sony A7R + Zeiss 50mm which are now my main two workhorses.
Cheers
